A cheap little pamper night! Ladies, READ!!

Everybody loves to be pampered, but sometimes we can't afford the pricetags that come with the spa evenings and relaxing get away days! So i devised a little pamper evening of my own.

Don't worry, this is a very tried and tested method. I'm sure you all know it anyway, but I just wanted to write this small post because sometimes it's so easy to get wrapped up in our day to day lives; kids, jobs, bills, housework, washing up and all other manner of crap that comes with being an adult. So yes, class this as a reminder to take some you time, and to not break your bank whilst doing it.

So you will need:

1. A bathtub, if you only have a shower in your house then use your bedroom!
2. A multipack of tea light candles or scented candles! (most supermarkets do 100packs of these for around two pounds.)
3. Some bubble bath, a facemask and a headband.

Obviously if you're going to relax on your bed maybe refrain from buying the bubble bath... that could get a little messy!

So basically, put candles on every available surface in the room you are using to relax!
Smother the gloopy gorgeousness that is a facemask all over your sexy faces.
Either lie in your bath, surrounded by a turret of lavender smelling bubbles. Or lie on your bed surrounded by flickering candle light.

Just lie back and forget about your problems. Take a little me time, even if it's only half an hour. Everything will seem a little easier than it did before..... aaaand in typical mummy or poor person fashion, you won't be feeling sick about the amount of money you have spent!

Thankyou for reading this post, and I hope you enjoyed! Please follow, +1 and comment!

Eating out with twins... I was stupid, oh so stupid!

As promised here is a little follow up blog about mine and the twins lunch date with Aunty Rhi!
I've decided to give my previous answer to the big question a rewrite, not a rethink though. I'm fairly certain I was a right in my first answer though! A little mothers intuition, one may say.

'Eating out with twins, am I mad? Or just stupid?!'
The first time I answered this question I gave the answer 'stupid' as controlling and entertaining two, three year olds in a restaurant is a much more arduous task than entertaining a single child or even two different aged children.

So back to my little rays of sunshine, they were actually really well behaved for the majority of the meal and refrained from having any major food fights, which is always a bonus when eating out! They did completely charm one couple with their twinkling eyes, and cheeky grins! Even if they did severely disrupt their relaxing lunch!

Although at one point I was quite worried we'd be asked to leave when they gave us a beautiful rendition of 'twinkle twinkle little star' at full volume, and high notes more piercing than a nine-year old choir boy! The pub where we went to eat only had high chairs, and my girls are used to sit in their mini chairs, at their mini table! So they did not take too kindly, to being strapped in some bright orange and green plastic contraption. I don't understand why places only cater to babies and children? I know a few years ago, there was even less for kids. But do they forget about the ages inbetween? Booster seats please restaurants!

The funny thing is with toddlers when you ask them to use their 'inside voices' (as we call them) they get louder, and it's really hard not to laugh. Because I find them hilarious! There is nothing more joyous as a mother than to see your babies having fun and laughing. Yes, even if that does mean shouting and screaming their heads off in a small country restaurant, nestled in between the trees and the fields!

The twins didn't quite understand the concept of ordering food and waiting for it. I'm not very patient when hungry, so it doesn't surprise me that two, three year olds aren't going to be particularly patient either! After we ordered our food, and it didn't spontaneously appear on our table the girls began to become a little confused. They decided to vent their confusion by yorping (if you're not a derbyshire gal, like myself! This means shouting) 'where's my food' at any member of staff who happened to pass our table. Again my laughing at this got me some odd looks off the other people in the restaurant. But we can't tell them off for everything!

Some people need to learn to relaxxxxx! Which brings me to the end of our meal. Another lovely middle-aged couple came into the pub, for a nice RELAXING pot of tea and a cake. Of course they were instantly charmed by my girls. Until Emilie decided to shout 'FOR GODSSAKE CHILD' at the top of her voice. Ooopsy! This is normally my go to phrase if something expensive is broken by the little cherubs and they're too close for me to swear!
Well after this anyone would think I had birthed the spawn of satan.

Some people really need to learn and grasp the friends 'kids will be kids'
They will copy what you say and do. They will embarrass you beyond belief and shout what they want at random passers by. But I would not change it for the world!

Even if that does make me stupid :)

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post! I enjoyed writing it, and even though I may moan to all my lovely readers, I love taking my girls out! It was hilarious, and somewhat stressful!

Until next time blogger folk.

A beauty blog. Barbara Day - Concealer review.

Hello again lovely blogger people!

I think I might be slightly addicted to blogging! This being my fifth blog since starting it yesterday. I just have alot of things I want to share with you! Todays blog is a beauty one :).
I wanted to talk everyone about a new concealer I picked up on saturday evening at Tescos.
As usual I got the sighs and the 'do you really need a new concealer' look from my ever suffering partner! To which I answered yes, I bloody do. I'm sure all other make-up addicts will agree with me, when I say that if make-up is in my vincinity I will find it, ooh and ahh over it, buy some, then into the depths of my ever expanding make-up collection it shall go.

So anyway this particular concealer is by a brand called Barbara Day, the brand itself is Tescos own make-up and is actually quite good. As Sam and Nic Chapman from PixiWoo say 'With the right tools any woman can be an expert'. Buy good brushes, learn about make-up! You really can save yourselves a fortune and improve your look along the way!

It cost me five pounds, and comes in a small black plastic case, with a clear plastic lid so you can see the product inside which I love!
It looks simple, yet isn't at all gaudy and cheap looking. The concealer itself is a creamy oil based formula, that sits lovely below or ontop of foundation.
***If you have oily skin I wouldn't recommend this. I'm going to find some good products for oily skin and post about them soon! So keep your eyes open.***

~~TIPS~~
1. Remember to blend your concealer into your foundation well, and conceal around your nose for a fresher faced look :).
2. Set all foundations and concealers with a translucant powder to hold them in place.
I really hope you enjoyed this 'Beauty Blog' & if you go out and buy the product then let me know! Thankyou for reading, until next time bloggers! Please +1, comment and share!

Eating out with Twins, am I mad or stupid?!

Another blog post, another self explanatory title!

Today me and my best friend are taking the twins out for lunch,
already I have this pit of apprehension in my stomach! What if one throws her food all over the place?! Or if they have a temper tantrum mid-meal?! All of these are the kind of things, I know will definitely happen. Sometimes I just wish I was a clairvoyant so I could forsee what time they would do it!

Currently it's 9.20am so we have a few hours yet until lunch, but the fun has already began. Toys and tempers are flying in The Average Household. My children have recently began to oppose the idea of eating their breakfasts. Which is quite irritating.
Just stop and think about it for a minute single child mums, how annoying is it throwing all that wasted food in the bin? I do that with DOUBLE the amount. u
I shit you not, I could feed Africa!

So anyway, the BIG question!

EATING OUT WITH TWINS, AM I MAD OR STUPID?!
 - Maybe, just maybe I'm actually both. And I need to lay off myself a little bit, always mentally condeming myself for not taking them out very often and never alone.
Unless if you have had twins yourself you will never understand the guilt and inner turmoil of a mulitple mum!

Days out aren't just days out! They are carefully planned and prepared for. With an extra pair of hands being a nessecity! I would love to take my girls out alone. And do wonderful mummy/daughter activities but I always feel that unless if I sprout 87 extra arms overnight it just won't be happening anytime soon. I used to think I was a terrible lazy mother for not taking them out alone. I now realise I am clever. Because I still have my mental santiy (well, lets not lie! Some of it!).

Even the simplist of tasks becomes a mammoth activity with two grouchy uncooperative toddlers! But I do love to spend my time with these uncooperative grouchy toddlers. They're my little rays of sunshine in this world filled with fifty shades of grey.

I will do a follow up blog, about our lunch with Aunty Rhi!

I hope you enjoyed reading! Please +1, comment and share :). Until next time bloggers :).

Cheap Make-Up.. what to use, and where to buy it!

Hello Bloggers!

Cheap make-up and where to find it!
Please, do not be put off by the word cheap. I use this word lightly, you will not look cheap.
That look can only be achieved with a delusional sense of what looks good and what doesn't!

I love make-up, alot of my friends and often my mother say I'm obsessed. But what can I say, apart from that maybe it is infact true. My make-up obsession truly began when I was walking through the make-up department in Selfridges when I was about 15, and I suddenly realised I didn't have a clue what any of it was! There and then I made a secret vow to learn about everything make-up and one day go back to Selfridges knowing what it all was.

I did just that when I was Nineteen. It was brilliant, strolling through and knowing what every little stick, bottle, and bright colour could do to someones face. This leads me onto another reason why I love make-up. The feeling that you get when you transform somebody! It's indescribable.

The thing I didn't realise when I vowed to my fifteen year old self to learn all things make-up, was the price! If I were to buy a foundation and a powder from MAC that's Sixty pounds gone. And when you only get double that a week things can get a little tricky! Which led me to thinking surely other people out there must have this problem! So I decided to start 'The Average Mum'.

First stop of the 'Cheap yet good make-up train' is;

AVON; THE BEST. If you want high-end quality make-up with a low quality price Avon is your place to be. I discovered AVON as a child when a lovely lady posted the catalogue through our front door. (they do have a website though, link below.) My mum who isn't the most feminine female was ordering make-up this seemed odd to me. But I convinced her to buy me a lipstick so I was happy! Another point about Avon is that they provide jobs to alot of stay at home mothers, with flexible hours and working from home! *All products are hypoallergenic.

Rimmel UK; first a famous London perfumer, Rimmel has adapted more and more over the last Ninety years into one of the UK's best high-street make-up brand. Their 'Wake Me Up' Range is amazing. I have everything! With great quality products starting at five pounds what's not to love!

Collection. / Collection 2000; Their concealer is literally the most raved about concealer on the internet. Beauty bloggers and 14year old girls all over the UK can not get enough of this shit to cover them up. And at only six pounds I want me some too! Most Collection make-up is available in local supermarkets.

I really hope you find some Bargain Beauty products from these three amazing Make-up Brands. I honestly did pick these with 'the average mums' budget in mind and I have tried and tested everything. Thank you again for reading :)

Just another Manic TwinMumDay!

Just another manic twinmumday.

I think the title is pretty self explanitory, I hadn't decided to write a blog post yet about my life as a twin mum but I thought why not?! I have nothing to lose.
Today is one of them days, we're in the house, the weather is rubbish outside, and the kids are bored.
The trouble with having twins is, everybody automatically presumes they 'entertain' eachother so to speak.
But what of those typical manic mum days when they just don't want to play together? Both of them are in irritable moods, and want permanently entertaining by Mummy.

This week we're only at home one day out of the week. Today! I would love to have those calm and lovely children, that everyone but me seems to have. What it would be like to have lovely homedays, chilling on the sofa in our onesies watching Disney films! It just never happens like that in my house.  Having twins is a very rewarding, yet spectacularly stressful task!
I love my little bundles more than life its self. But gosh, they are such hard work at times. Two three year olds, why I ask god?! Why?! I'm joking. I think...

You literally need 89 hands to control them sometimes, and two mouths so you can have a seperate conversation at the same time with each. Two children can do things one child would never be able. And they do it at the speed of light also! My girls favourite one at the minute is one distracts mummy, whilst the other one hides under the stairs. Which incidentally is full of crap! Last week the puddings lost my keys in there for two days. I asked one to get them for Mummy, she strolled straight under the stairs and grabbed them!

Another typical twin thing that gets said is 'Ooooh is one more dominant or naughty than the other'? I would just like to settle this question once and for all for all twin mothers out there. NO, they are both equally as naughty. They just swap daily to lull us into a false sense of security. It's one children do, they are evil genius' I tell you. It's true! So my ramblings about twin motherhood have come to end. I'm off to set the twins up with yet another activity for them to tire of after five minutes! The joys of toddlers! :)

See you next time, thankyou for reading my mad ramblings.

Real Techniques Starter Kit - A beauty blog/review.

Real Techniques - By Samantha Chapman.

On Saturday night I sat down at my laptop, after a hectic day. My daughters radiator had burst early saturday afternoon, then chaos reigned in my house. Within the hour about 10 different people all turned up at my doorstep. Ready and willing to help.(Apart from my bestfriend she just wanted to feeding, but who can blame her after chopping old ladies hair in a salon all morning?) The problem is when that many people turn up to a 2 up, 3 down house... there is no room! People begin to become more of hindrance than a help! Which is let's face it.. is a ballache! Sorry.. but there we go.

So anyway onto the brushes by Samantha Chapman. They are called Real Techniques and are absolutely beautiful! If I do say so myself, and I do. I really, really do! A few months ago before I had discovered the wonderful world of Vlogging and Blogging, I purchased a Real Techniques - Stippling brushe. I was amazed, my foundation has been transformed forever due to this 8POUND bargain from amazon! Upon learning Sam was a vlogger on her Youtube Channel that she shares with her sister - Pixi Woo. I instantly got online. I've been watching online tutorials for about 5years now. So I was shocked I'd never learnt about her before.

After my hectic day, and it raining in my kitchen. I was ready for some online retail therapy! Any mums bestfriend. Off to amazon I went, some may say it is basic for internet shopping these days! But I am a semi-competent technology user even for my young age. So amazon is my limit!  I'm always scouring the shops and internet for a make-up bargain. I love make-up artistry but I just cannot afford the prices MAC & other high-end brands charge. I have been now to treat myself to a little NARS, but that's probably the limit.

I discovered for SEVENTEEN pounds, a Real-Techniques eye enhancing Starter Set.
This set includes:
5 spectacular brushes, and a case that also doubles as a brush stand.
I got a little bit excited by this point, and did my shopping happy dance. Every female has one of these so don't lie and pretend otherwise! ;)
I'm yet to use these brushes, but was so blown away by the spectacular quality of these brushes, and beautiful colour (which is fairly similar to this font.) I just couldn't resist sitting down at my laptop and entering the world of blogsters myself.

Here is a link to where I brought these brushes:

I really hope you enjoyed my first blog. Please comment, and share! :)
Thankyou!
